The report was officially launched on 12 May 2009 at the second international meeting of the Micronutrient Forum in Beijing, China.

The organizations involved in Investing in the Future: A united call to action on vitamin and mineral deficiencies have several experts in nutrition in developing countries available for media interviews and background information. When possible, the organizations will bring accredited media on site visits.

Spokespersons from around the world are available for comment on key areas in nutrition and development, such as the need for and progress to date for vitamin A, zinc, iron, iodine and multiple
micronutrients.
